98 v6 to v8 ls1 swap

vats is still on, would the car start for 3 seconds and die, or not start at all?

not start at all.......3 seconds and die sounds like the fuel pump vats/bcm/pcm issue....fuel pump will usually prime which is enough to crank a couple secs but the fuel pump wont run once the car is started so the engine wont stay running..

FYI, my car wont start at all, i can hear the rails fill up with fuel, car just wont fire.

I know when i did my swap from 2000 v6 camaro to ls1 i was having trouble with wiring and found out that you have to add a wire from the Inj 2 fuse in the underhood fuse box to one of the three big connectors on the passenger fender well. I forget which plug you pin the wire into but i'll look it up if you need me too.

Without it you will only be firing your bank 1 fuel injectors
