Not sure, but I got a email today saying mine is in the mail back to me. I hope it runs good, haven't read anything bad about him.

Did you list all your mods or just filled out the form and not add extra stuff in the box? I forgot to put in the comments box that I had a LT4 KM and a CAI, I hope it doesn't matter much, his form covered everything else.

He tuned my old bolt-on LT1 and completely fucked it up, never will get my business again. I stick to PCMforless and have been very happy. The tune is probaly good a for a tenth or two.

Ion did the tune on my car. I can't say for sure how much it's leaving on the table until I get it dyno tuned, but I can say that it runs great and has good driveability too (847 cam).

I ordered a tune was supposed to get it before the weekend but now its Monday... However I have heard nothing but good about him but that does not help me when I wanted to go out this weekend.

Luckly I guess for him I am facing other problems so I did not get to go out anyway.

The car idled real high, high enough that it would pull forward way too fast at say a traffic light when you want to creep up. The worst part was that my mileage went from 16-17mpg straight down to 11-12mpg at best. I swapped in another computer with the factory tune and everything went back to normal. Granted that could have been a one in a hundred thing however I have heard a few bad things from him but at the same time many good just not worth the risk to me.

Well mine should be back tuesday from Ion, i'll see how well it sounds/runs, i was on the hypertech II, then wen't back to the stock tune, the car accually ran better above 3000 too 6000, i had it tuned for a 100 shot, so there will be 2* taken out, hopefully it still runs strong & idles smooth.

I've had my Madtuner tune for a little over a month now. I love it, made the car feel and sound more refined. I will definitely deal with it again.

EVERY single product/service out there will have a couple people who "had a bad experience" and would never do again. Think about it.

I've had a couple tunes from him with different engine combos, the first was pretty well on, the second ran pig rich and had to which injectors. When I had my dyno tune done at Straightline the tuner (mike) said that Ion runs many of his tunes rich, he even showed me a couple dynos with Ions tunes showing a very rich A/F ratio. Overall I have a mixed review on his work.

You kind of have to tune a bit rich for mail orders to play it safe.

So if we were to say its set a little rich with Ion's tune, what would some consider rich at WOT, i know Brian @ PCM4less sets his up around 13.0 AFR, i don't feel thats rich, i would have to guess 12.7-12.8 AFR getting on the rich end N/A, even Chris @ Nitrous outlet likes to run as high as 13.2 N/A. Now i've heard the Factory runs them as rich as 11.7, i don't see how they could run being that rich, even with bolt-ons, mine seemed to run fairly clean going back with the stock tune & MAF, plugs where pretty light in color, hell the gas mileage even improved a tad over the hypertech & it could idle all day in my garage without fumagating you out.

Yea I'm aware that running rich is MUCH safer than running lean, but even knowing that this was excessive, ie spark plugs fouled every few hundred miles, gas in the oil ect. Once again I'm just providing input for any one considering a mail order tune. I think anyone with a bolt on car is in the clear.
