Default Cecil County Dragway Question...

I've only been to the Friday Night Grudge Races. It's what, $12 to get in and race. Now, I know they have Test & Tunes on Sat for approx $31? What are Wednesday Night T&T prices? I am debating going Weds.

Okay so it's $15 on Wed nights then as well? I just don't wanna drive down there and have to pay $31 for a couple hours.

Ya thats what it was when i was down there last month, Wednesdays were fun in the summer time, now i can only go on a weekend, and every weekend they seem to have some event so im sad. One saturday i went and got 20 passes and I stopped running (this was in my chevelle) it was empty it was just 2 hot laps cool down two hot laps cool down. There were probably 10 people there the first two hours then more showed up and i just left i got tired of running Wish i ran into a day like that again.....

$30-35 on saturdays are well worth it. You'll spend that money trying to get the times you would on a wed/friday. The track prep on saturdays is awesome, and it scares away the punk ricers that show up and mess the track prep up. You'll run faster on a Saturday at Cecil then you will on a Friday or Wednesday guarenteed. From what I've heard Cecil doesn't even prep on Friday nights anymore.

I've been to Cecil Quite a bit, but only on Friday nights. I've shown up, seen the staging PACKED, said "f*** it" and turned around to drive home. I've also shown up and had nearly no one there. If they are calling for rain, and it doesn't rain, that's when you get lots of runs.

My 13.3 run at Cecil was in June of 2007 on a hot, humid Friday night. This car really wakes up in this chilly weather. Mid 50's as high's tomorrow with lows down to 35. Sounds like perfect race weather if you ask me. I want to hit the 12's dammit

I'm waiting on my buddy with an 05 Mustang GT. He is all for it, though. If he remembers to bring the Mustang in tomorrow we'll be going. If not, we won't. I'll post up tomorrow AM and let ya know!

I'm really hoping to get down there tomorrow night. It'll be fun to see the difference the weather really makes. I can feel it, I want to see it on paper.

Well, I'll say this. I ran 11.67@115 last November at Cecil and have yet to beat that time this year. I did go 11.68@116 back in March at MIR, but once it got warm, I've been running 11.80-11.90 @ 113 or so. Granted this was all with the old 342 gears I had before. With the 410's and the SSRA (SuperSuckerRamAir), I better run something better than an 11.80 or I'll be pissed.

Out of all the tracks in NJ I think Cecil is the best!! lines move fast and they dont take there 2 hour to clean up spills. Hope on running there tomorrow nite.
