Default Gen IV 4.8L question?

Do the new Gen IV 4.8L's have the Active Fuel Management ports in the blocks like the 5.3L's and are they drilled.

I though about making a 4.8L AFM for a little better mileage on a project car.

Looks looks like all i would need is the lifters, manifold/valley cover, harness, and oil pump. As well a PCM tune.

Or would a 5.3L AFM get the same mileage? The 4.8L are cheap and I have a source for AFM parts.

I believe the block castings are the same between the two engines so it should work. Dunno if it will get better mileage than the 5.3 or not. I guess it should if its in a fairly light vehicle.

Yes but the 07 and up GMT-900 truck engines are RPO code LY2 and are Gen IV's.
