Default First 1/4 run w/ 383

Hey LT1 dudes. Just thought I'd post a vid of my run last night. Only one run because of multiple oil spills and hours of clean up. Real happy with the results! Still took a spanking from my buddy's 383 supercharged LS1 though!

Nice work get those 60s down a little and you'll be into the mid 11s.

Very nice! What's you're setup? (heads/cam, etc.)

Sucks about the cleanup time. Some people don't know that when they break it's a bad idea to drive down the whole track anyway.

Very nice. Strong running setup, few more practive passes and you'll be deep 11's! What were you running for tires?

Stock gears as well?
Is it launching hard or spinning off the line?
What tire pressure are you running?

Yes. Stock 3.42s Spun some off the line. 16lbs of pressure. It was very cold. Probably about 40 degrees. Good for power, bad for traction. I also have a Spec stage 3+ clutch that I used for the first time. It is very driveable on the street but it seemed to grab hard all at once on this run. A bit of a learning curve to figure out how to launch with it. This was also my first trip to the strip in two years!

Launching hard with a stick is a good way to blow the stock rear end to bits.
(and be the guy everyone is staring at for having oiled down the track and ruined their night of racing)
It might not be a bad idea to start with a rear end up upgrade before improving traction or weight transfer.
