Whats the best Heads and Cam package out there?
Im new to heads and cam stuff. Just wanted to hear some opinions to start with.
What are the best H&C package deals out there? I would want my cam to sound closest to stock but yet have a package that really works.
Also I've heard with heads and cam my redline should hit about 6700 or so? would that be bad for a stock motor and tranny? Anything I should be careful of?
About how much would my compression ratio drop? How big of an N20 shot can I spray with H/C?
Could I hit 420RWHP with just a H/C package?
just a few questions to help me get started.

GTP, MTI, and Cartek are probably the best(expensive though)
TEA and Absolute Speed are the best bang for buck
Patriot is brand new and the cheapest of them all
410-450 is the usually numbers for a M6 with H/C

See all the sponsors to the right. Contact them for their set-ups:
A.R.E-Agostino Racing Engines
Rapid Motorsports
Cartek
MTI
LG Motorsports
MMS
SLP
GTP
Futral
Thunder Racing
Absolute
JPR
Sorry if I didn't mention other shops but those are ones that ring in my head. There are more too. Do some research and contact ALL the shops. They all have GREAT packages. Make sure you compare apples to apples and oranges to oranges. Some members/shops tend to compare one shop's mild cam to another's all out race cam. Also, remember: one person's definition of streetable may be completely different then anothers. You need to sit down and think about all your expectations and what you want from your car, write it down. Take that written info and call all the shops. Talk with them and go with a proven package, don't go dreaming up some new idea no one has tried yet, because you might be disappointed. Spend your money where you know what you're going to get.

Re: Whats the best Heads and Cam package out there?
Thanks for the many responses. I appreciate it.
I noticed some of you chose a certain package over others. Why?
Did you compare dyno sheets and see a big difference? Or is there another reason to it?
I would want to have a heads and cam package to make my motor withstand a bigger shot of n20. If I chose to do so would power be sacrificed if I were to NOT spray?

When I purchased my Heads, there weren't nearly as many places to get them as now. I chose MTI because I knew they had an excellent reputation. I would buy from them again, too.

Re: Whats the best Heads and Cam package out there?
Just to let you know: a Head/cam package won't make your motor stonger for nitrous. You will gain a good amount of power but a H/C set-up is not designed to be an upgrade for nitrous. Many times when you have a decent H/C package and add nitrous you are riding a fine line of disaster. The stock short block(block, crank, pistons, and connecting rods) are usually good for about 500-550RWHP and with the nitrous you will be very close if not over, depending on how much you spray. I would seriously consider upgrading the bottom end first.
