Default signs of failing opti...

what are the signs of a failing opti, and if it is failing, is there anything preventative that you could do?

Nothing you can do to be preventative. One tell tail sign is misfiring. Another is LONG time to start (15-30seconds of cranking) and a CEL coming on after it started.

will a flashing SES light and multiple random misfire code be a sign? car is running like absolute **** now, pops and backfires and struggles just to keep up with traffic.

Dynaspark - lifetime warranty and built in a reliable fashion. They take the Optispark system and make it into the great idea GM had originally - If they weren't so budget conscious it would have been a great ignition system, photo electric triggers are extremely fast and accurate.

I don't wanna post non sponsor links so PM me if you need the link.

Oh, to answer... no. Just get a new distributor. It's worth it in the long run.
