No new times yet , but will post some soon, Cam is a small comp 216/220 525/532 with 2002 ls6 springs. Picked up 31 rwhp with this cam, If this didnt come along for the price I probable would have went with the 220/220 cam.

Times are in the sig with my old B1 cam. I'm looking into the TR230 cam later on in the year,it would be a good choice. I also like the MTI C2 cam. What to do what to do?!?!

Comp XER 228/236 112

ET 11.60 at 117 in summer weather. My times are not really great for how big the cam is. My car is a full race weight tank, though, and my ET streets like to spin off the line.

Thanks! I will be flying when we get some of that winter nitrous air here in Houston. I ran that 11.52 in hot humid weather. Of course I have my weight down to about 3200 pounds now so that helps too.

Nah Bill, it is the stock 10-bolt. Several members of ls1tech have gone 10's (mid 1.4's) on the stock 10-bolt. A4's are alot more forgiving than six-speeds

230/224 .575/.563 110LSA

12.7@110.5MPH but I'm still using the stock 2.73 geared 10 bolt with a Yank 2800 stall. (I need more gear and stall!!) The MPH is there but the 60' isn't.

Gillbot I'd be curios to see your E.T. with just the addition of 3.73's or 4.10's and 26X10 Et Drags. I bet you'd drop atleast 3 tenths and pick up as much mph.

To kinda hijack the topic: anything around 226-227 or bigger on a 114 that we see vendors pushing should be revved atleast to 6500. In order to get the most out of your setup you will have to put a good bit of gear in it.

IMO this is what is appealing about the size of a cam like larry's. The commonplace cams in the range of 218-222 on a 114 will most likely run strongly with a 3.42 setup on a 26X8.5 inch tire. I say this because the 3.42 setup has been my favorite gear for driveability and cruise rpms.

You can go quicker with the bigger cams, but you will need to gear to see full benefit of it on the track. 4.10's pull 3000 at 70 on the freeway with stock sized tires: I guess that's my point. But they have helped me pull mid 1.4's short times

230/227 .591/.571 112 cam (X1),stg 2 heads, ls1 intake at the time, headers, 4000 3 disc vig, stock 323 gears, 3500lbs raceweight...on nitto's went 11.2@123....i've gone faster with seats out, ls6 intake and slicks, but honestly i have f*ckin clue where i put that slip so i don't ever claim it. waiting on new tranny 110,000 on the stocker and it's starting to just slip like a 2dollar ***** with a tube of KY applied.

I know i need more gear and stall by far, but I can't see spending all the $ for gears then turning around later and getting a 12 bolt. I'm just saving for the 12 bolt or 9" and skipping the middle step.

See sig. This was done in 1300 DA at a raceweight of about 3370#. I have removed some weight since and guessing to be about 3300.

I am hoping for some 11.40s or better once the good air comes.

Revision: 11.494 @ 116.28 mph just last night. I suppose the air was better. Come on winter!

Congrats Larry! I see you are going fast again. You slowed down after crashing the Mustang. Just wait till that cold weather hits. What's Russell running now? You're still running the stock 10 bolt right?

Thanks Mike!

Yes, I have the stock 10 bolt rear end. I hit a 1.55 and 1.56 60 last night. I may be pushing it but so far so good. Lost traction on two other runs. Got to do something to hold consistently.

Russell ran an 11.96 last night granny shifting. His clutch is not wanting to hold anymore when he shifts too fast.
