i think, THINK youd need a cross member and probably a different length drive shaft. itll bolt right up. and you might have to reprogram your ECU so it doesnt keep the SES light on

Torque arm relocation, drive shaft, tranny cross member, and a converter off the top of my head.

So I take it the car won't idle without a tune? You don't have to be such a dick man, I was asking a question not insulting you.

No you don't need a tune. The car will idle fine. You want proof? look in my sig. No tuning whatsoever all I did was unplug the connector from the 60E and zip tie aside. Now I do have an Ed Wright tune in the PCM but it was done when the stock 60E was in it before I ever even thought about a TH400.

I do have a RMVB so my only hookups are the tranny fluid lines, the linkage, VSS (my Rossler came with a VSS installed, I just plugged it in) and the transmission temp guage. The TH400 works very well behind the LT1 in a 4th gen. I love mine.

Default Cross member support for TH400

I think the cross member / tranny support is from a Manual Trany camaro and a guy here in Orlando gave me one for my TH400, worked great, but think I had to use spacers. Man it has been a long time since I did this.
Trust me a built TH400 is the way to go, put a trans brake on it and hold on!!
I also built this car to allow a big block with out any mods, Tranny, driveshaft, supports galore, and Moser 9 bolt spooled, 33 spline.

LOL If I was a "Dick" you would definately know it.

No you do not have to tune it but if the VSS is not close it WILL tend to freak out while you are coming to a stop from time to time witn no reason.

BTW IF I want proff I will go drive one of the many we have converted

There is a guy here local that rebuilds 4t65 and 4l60e. He is a sponsor on regalgs.org. His name is dave and his company is called triple edge performance. He can build a 4l60e to handle low 10's... If you are not planning on goin faster than this, I would check him out. If your shootin for 9's then yea the 400 is the best way to go.

VSS

Vehicle
Speed
Sensor.

Clear enough?

Maybe you should do some research so you are not so damn sensitive? Maybe you should take some lessons at getting your *** raped?

NOW I am being a Dick get over it LOL!

BTW My transmission NEVER died, converter did, and I put one hell of alot more power through it then most!

Default Flex Plate

I just called up JEGS and got the tech to suggest one.
You can go stock or all out race with tech specifications.
Spend a little or spend a lot, just think about what you might do in the future with the car.

why would the vss freak out if it is unplugged? pcm sees the car as sitting still and not moving at all times. should idle just fine.
i have done 2 conversions myself, but both those cars were m6s. they idled just fine and had no issues whatsoever with the vss. (except the speedo didnt work)
