Default My cars history

I recently gota vion check for my car it turns out completly clean, but well the one think i can't figure out is it has records only going back to 96 no 93 94 95 nothing completly blank. Any clues or ideas why

they only go back so far. remember the internet wasnt much in 93

yea ur right, my 86 Mustang had records that far back for service and title registration and such. Thats strange you have no records in the early years

That's right ... it was just me and a few other eggheads with tin cans and string stretched across the country.

Those databases are populated from data they gather from other sources.
There's really no way to guarantee it's 100% complete.
It costs money to have old paper records entered into an electronic database,
Odds are whichever agency they pulled from only kept 10-15 years of data on file.

My Trans Am goes back to 1993 in the car fax, reports the first owner from 93-00 and then me from 00 to present. How ever it wont come up in a dealers computer, comes back as a Blazer in GMs computer.

Im not saying that casrfax is accusate at all... im just saying it will still find records on older cars

Cool, carfax info for my car starts in 1996.
There's no data for whoever owned the car from 93-95.
I did manage to dig some of that up with the paperwork I found in the glovebox.
And some I found stuffed under the console when I pulled it apart LOL
