Generation IV External Engine - Has there been an Elbow comparison for EFI on the carb intakes?

I am wondering have any of the Hotrod magazines done any comparison testing of the different elbows that are available for the GMPP carb intakes (or the Vic Jnr) when you want to use them for EFI?
It would be nice to see what is good and what is not, as reading the different posts people have made on this forum when it comes to these setups the they can be quite hit and miss I for one would like to see some harder number than what is currently available.
---------------
What I would really like to see is a comparison, where the different possible elbows are compared using the GMPP and/or vic jnr carb intakes, a 90mm NW tb, and a good LS3 long block. To have a reference baseline to test against like the l76 intake or the use of a 4 barrel tb inplace of the elbow...
So Baseline would be the ls3 long block with the GMPP carb intake (and a suitable cam for a carb intake) either with a 4 barrel tb or actual carb ontop of the intake.
Then replace the carb or 4barrel tb with the different elbows and then test using the NW 90mm tb or suitable 92mm tb.
Then maybe do the same again with the Victor jnr or better yet the new intake from Cary at ETP.
(And I think it would be useful to have the LS3 long block (and using a cam comparable to the carb intake one) the LS3/L76 intake)

Good suggestion, Rob. I hope some editors are reading your post and taking notes  .

I have also wondered about this. I would rather not pay $250 for a intakeelbows.com elbow if the $90 102* bent Edlebrock elbow works just as well or close enough to negate the cost. Especially since the edlebrock has the proper bolt pattern for a stock TB or Nick Williams 90mm. Plus the $90 elbow can be ran under a stock WS6 hood & cowl without trimming.

Would a Super Victor Manifold + $500-$600 4 BBL throttle body be any better/worse than a FAST 90/90? The price difference would be about $500 it looks like. And how the hell would you filter the 4 BBL throttle body??
It seems the single plane + elbow with a stock style TB is a bit restrictive, but a lot cheaper.

I would love to see some comparisons as well. I am in the exact spot(have a Vic Jr) and trying to decide if the price is worth it to go to a intakeelbow's elbow over the $90 edelbrock elbow.

I had the intakeelbows.com elbow and took it off in favor of a 4150 accu fab 4 barrel TB. I have a 408 w/ 10.8-1 comp. ported L92 heads and a pat G speced cam, Th350 and GMPP intake. MY engine is a all out nitrous engine. The dyno #'s with the elbow were 406 RWHP and 498 RWTQ NA. On a 100 shot the car spun pretty violently on the dyno and made 538 RWHP and 534 RWTQ. The cam is heavily biased for nitrous a 300 shot is what It was ground for. Pat G said that an intake restiction was most likely the problem. I switched to the 4150 TB but dont have any dyno #'s yet. I will have some track times this coming Saturday though. I can tell you this It feels mean since I made the TB switch. But I would save some money and go with the eldelbrock elbow as I belive it will work better. Take that for what its worth.

I love the look of that engine bay. What was your total cost for the intake and the 4 BBL throttle body? Do you filter the air or not?

I havent weighed the car yet. I am assuming 3200 pounds.
The intake and fuel rails and TB were around 800.00 minus the port work to the intake.

Wilson offers elbows and single blade or 4bbl throttle bodies. Westech tests all that stuff, they probably have results on this kind of stuff.

Check out the elbow from Aarons. Heard it had the best flow numbers

It may flow the best, but i have heard from 3 different sources it had an absolutely awful fitment, and would not clear the hood. No thanks.

It does clear the stock hood. Fitment and finish is great from what I have been told by owners
