Pontiac Firebird 1967-2002 - Ordering New Spark Plugs-Help

Im getting close to my 60,000Mile maintanance on my 02 TA.
I was on the Summitt Racing website looking at spark plugs to order.
I dont want them to put stock plugs in. Right now I have NGK plugs installed.
Here are some others I found************************************
NGK V-power
Bosch Pure platinum
NGK power platinum***
Accel U groove performance
Splitfire
Autolite Copper Core-cheapest $1.50 per plug
What do most of you have? Im leaning towards the NGK Power Platinum

well i have ngk gpower but everything is pretty much d same.
i think u should b lookin to get a good oil for later on.
but at d same time everythin ur usin rite now most likely would b what u gonna b usin later on. so use the best :D

stay away from bosch....go with the ones you want. Platinums fine...no need for iridium and i wouldnt do really cheap either. Just in between

Don't know the LS equivalent, but us LT guys just run plain old NGK TR55s (TR6s for NOS). Since the V-Power is essentially a normal NGK with a grooved electrode, I'd just get that one.

I use the A/C DELCO IRIDIUMS.......probably the best/longest lasting.....since GM uses them,and does not want Warranty Work.

I think Im gonna look into those then. I thought stock werent very good though. Im wondering now whether stock is just as good as aftermarket.
Does anyone know?

Agree. Bosch work great in a VW and not in anything else.

I personally prefer the AC Delco Irridiums. They go a long time, trouble free.

Unless I'm missing something, the Irridiums are only going to last longer and most likely not give any better spark than your average $1.50 plug (NGKs). So unless you plan to keep your car another 60K miles, I'd stick with the NGKs and with the difference have a nice steak dinner :)

NGKs are fine. Are you changing them yourself or paying someone to do it? If your paying someone...ask for all 8 of the old ones back. The passengers side rear is a PIA to get out and I have know of a few people that have paid to have their plugs changed and the tech would skip that one and leave the old one in.

Im ordering the spark plugs myself and taking it to the dealership where I usually have all my maintanance work done. My extended warranty is already in the computer there.

always i use the NGK it's good plugs , i bought in the few days $200 NGK plugs for me :D and i am waiting for them TR-55 and TR-6
