Clean ride, 69 Camaro w/ LS1
This is engine bay is done so well. Interior needs some improvement but I'm very impressed with the engine presentation: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...;category=6161

The engine bay looks great, the exterior is nothing special... kinda bland and leaves some to be desired, and the interior is hidious.
Hugger is always cool though

Re: Clean ride, 69 Camaro w/ LS1
Anyone going 4x4'ing????? The interior does look pretty crappy. The paint doesn't even look all that great. Nice that there is an LS1 in it already though. Wish I could just take the drive train and drop it in my 68. That would kick ***. Hey Tony, just curious how much $$ does a conversion like that cost?

Re: Clean ride, 69 Camaro w/ LS1
used LS1 $1000-2000
harness $400
used PCM $200
headers $700
engine mounts $200
misc engine accessories, etc... $600
that would be a good start. Converting to a T56 or A4 would add more money, but the TH350 will bolt right up to the LS1 and be the cheap alternative.

I wonder if a LS1 would bolt to a 700R4??? I have questions, I need an expert
Then again, seems like a LOT of work just to get piston slap
<-- so tempted....

Re: Clean ride, 69 Camaro w/ LS1
LS1EDIT would only be required. The Painless harness doesn't come with all that smog crap on it. You can disable all that with LS1EDIT. S&P makes shorty headers that clear the factory steering box. I went with longtubes and an LS1 rack/pinion instead.
Current progress on my '69:
-1969 12-bolt has been sandblasted, cleaned, and painted with POR15. Ready to reassemble.
-Subframe is at the powdercoater. Should be done this week. Madman is assembling the front suspension and already modified the subframe to fit the LS1 steering rack setup.
-Still waiting on supercharger (next week?)
-Forged interal 348ci LS6 and Stage 2 LS6 heads sitting in my garage. Still have to finish assembly of the longblock.
Basically, alot of work to do. I won't make it by the Bristol Bash on October 18, not enough time. Been busy with work.

Re: Clean ride, 69 Camaro w/ LS1
The worst thing I saw about the car was the seats. Other than that I see a plain Jane 69 camaro with a REALLY nice ls1 conversion.
