Default Got a TH400 with brake....how to launch?

I'm new to the transbrake thing, so how do I launch this thing? Just stand on it or am I looking to leave at a certain RPM? Would a 2 step be super beneficial to me? Is it harder on the motor to use a 2 step? It sure sounds violent, but cool as hell too.

1. put trans in 1st gear and press trans brake button
2. floor car, release trans brake at desired boost/rpm
3. ???
4. PROFIT!!

if you street drive it's wise to put the button on a switch to prevent accidental activation. Don't ever touch the button wile you are moving.

I know that much, but thanks.

I guess what I'm wondering is if I should use a 2 step or if just bringing it up on the convertor is enough? Like I have a 4000 stall: Do I want to just stand on it, reving to 4000-ish, and launch? Or do I still need the "flash" of the convertor to get things going? Say if I use a 2 step at 2500 RPM, I stand on it, motor sits at 2500, release and it launched and flashes the convertor to lets say 5000-ish.

Hope that made sense.

Use a two step, start at 2500rpm and work your way up. WOT on the brake will most likely slow the car down.

Is the LPE 2 step still the recommended unit?

With a blower the boost is instant and if you have the right converter you will push right past the max torque of the engine and lose the advantage of the torque multiplication. Every converter/combination is different, just takes some experimenting.

4000 rpms is nothing for that combo Sam, just run it like that and get a 2 step to mess with for later. You are heavier and don't make as much power as kevin did so based on your mph of 139 best you can leave at 4000 and hopefully hit 9.8@142 or something like that.
