After looking at some of the trans crossmember solutions, I decided to see how much height I'm missing once the 400 crossmember was installed (1st Gen Fbody). It appeared as though the thickness of the Trans mount was just about right to fit into the space between the flat area on the crossmember and trans. Instead of welding a bracket to the crossmember I did this....(pics). It puts the trans at right about 3 degrees!
