Cleaning out oil passages?
Hey Everyone.
Ive got a '99 LS1 block that i plan on building up.
Ive got a question though. The block sat outside for a day, and it started raining. I think i see small bits of gravel in the oil passages. Either way, i feel it would be best to clean out the oil passages.
How would i go to do this?
I was thinking possibly pumping soapy water through the passages, then pumping a bunch of oil through so i know theres not any water that would go into my bearings.
Any insight would be great!

You should really read up on how to build and blue print a engine.. the prep for a LS1 is not any different than any other build..
soap and water, compressed air... and pick up some of those bottle type of brushes, many engine builder will use the ones with 12iinch or longer ones and just scrub the oil and all of the gallery and passages.
After all of the cleaning.. Compressed Air is your best friend...
