Default 10's NA first time out with new 396

good day besides my Mallory Box going out and not allowing me to spray the car

first pass..foot brake to 2000

ET 11.01
MPH 121
60FT 1.48

second pass..foot brake to 2200

ET 11.00
MPH 121
60FT 1.46

now at this point I was super happy and just had to see a 10 second pass

third pass... foot brake to 2500 + open cutout .. 1HP increase

ET 10.97
MPH 121
60FT 1.45

The car was driven to and from the track with 0 issues.

I plan to go back out next weekend to spray the car and look for a 9 sec pass on 150 shot.

Congrats Larry on your last 10 sec pass on the new motor. Had a great time myself along w/my pit crew. Didn't set a new best but there's always next time. The car seems to hook better at Byron than at GLD. Thanks for the invite.

What rear end gears are you running? Do you have a trans brake to mess with? How much do you plan on spraying next time you go to the track?

glad you came out Butch

I plan to go back next Sunday if you want to make plans.

as for the car info:

3.73
4L60E w/ no brake

it is jetted for 150 now

I would love to sneak it in the 9's with the small shot, but I have to see how the converter works.

I think you should be able to hit 9.9x with a 150 shot.

What is the vehicles weight? That is moving, i will be building a 11 to 1 solid roller in the near future, i must stick with 93 octane for the street.
