Took mine off as well. I think only SS and WS6 have them but I could be wrong. I think it's an option that goes with 275 tire size.

Thanks, I plan on just making a line straight from the rack to the pump too with hydraulic hose & compression fittings.

I didn't even know there was a cooler. I thought it was aftermarket. I remember seeing the small lines, but I've never chased them down. You have any pics of it?

Dont need it unless you are trying to road race with 4 big grippy tires. Usually the fluid starts to seep out the cap and boil if doing the above without one. You should be fine everyday driving.

I didnt snap any pics of it but its a big alluminum peice thats in line with the top radiator hose. It has 2 nipples on the bottom thats an in & out for the power steering return line. I could see it being an option on SS & WS6 cars for having such wide front tires but I dont need it anymore because I spend more time on the 3.5" prostars than I do my 10" ZR1 front wheels.

I ditched mine makes getting to my SDCE tensioner easier. I just ran the line right from the rack to the pump and got a upper rad hose that was for an f body that didn't have a PS cooler only cost like $18 from nappa. gives me a little more room to work

They came on z28's also, I am thinking of ditching mine also. Here is a picture of it if someone doesn't know what it is.

I ran the hoses down into the driver's side frame rail opening and up to a small air cooler behind the driver's side head light assembly. Just eliminating it would have been so much easier

I have that on my TA (non WS6) I've also wondered how much I really need it... My front wheels are 10" CCW's so not sure... I don't really road race my car thru the twisties often tho.

I my case just to clean things up a bit and to get the power steering lines away from the crossover & downpipe.
