Default Look Inside 1/8 Times & Questions

I went to a fairly local track yesterday and the results were...
First pass i was going to make I was running on M/T Slicks... I did my burnout got tires good and hot!
Went to launch at around 2500 to 3k and as soon as I treed off at went to launch "pop" looked under my car and twisted my drive shaft into 2 pieces.... We got it off the track and I pulled the drive shaft and had a buddy bring me another one... got it all back together put my street tires back on so i wouldnt snap another drive shaft, and since the track was already running there classes they let me slide in and back two passes a motor and nitrous pass.... so on motor considering i never have had it on the track I luanched horrible with these times and numbers
reaction: .975
60ft: 2.219
330ft: 5.983
594 ft: 8.410
1/8 mile et: 8.927
1/8 mile mph: 87.04

on bottle
reaction: .741
60ft: 1.938
330ft: 5.503
594 ft: 7.871
1/8 mile et: 8.363
1/8 mile mph: 91.46

so basically I know the car has alot more in it, because i didnt get much time to tune or tinker with it only 2 passes....
I was just wondering what kind of time you guys think this car can cut in a 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile!
BTW car is a 1999 firehawk
mods:
spec stage 2 clutch
ls6 intake
lid & k&n filter
125 wet shot
qtp cutout (not that that really matters) lol

thanks for all input guys!!

looks like your turning pretty good times!!! I do think sikestons track is the best in this area although West Frankfort was pretty darn sticky last weekend!! I think I may try and put it on the track one more time this year with the tires... Id really like to hit the mid 7's in the car..

Something doesn't seem right at all considering I ran 7.98 @ 89.80 with a 1.88 60ft.

The other track that is near is Atmore's But that track is crap. This track in mobile is very good. Besides the short.

Congrats on the times, but i have to say, you must not think too much of that pretty car, not the best place to be laying parts & taken pix i'de say, especially a twisted up sharp piece of metal

ouch the drive shaft looks like my dads after we were doing burnouts in the garage and went back over a sticky rubber patch lmao but the shaft came thru the floorboard and almost hit me! but those 7.9 runs dont sound right when i run 8.7s and trap 78 and have a 60ft of 1.87

onebadvette, you should run way better than 8.9 I have a "heavy vert ss" and I've been 8.52 on street tires with a 6spd. You should be running 8.3s on street tires all motor! I run on 30psi in my tires too... my best 60' is 2.04 also. Launch a little softer or even off of idle and then do what you do

thanks for input guys!!! here is what happened this weekend!!!
Well for one i installed long tubes, y pipe and kept my stock slp catback with cutout, installe slp below with slp maf, ported throttle body and bumped up to a 150 shot....
ran my tires at 13.5 psi...
it was about 40 degrees out, i really couldnt get any traction but my last pass... and what happened was i hooked real hard and then let out, and got back in it, i dont know why i let out it was just a reaction or something, but i lost my time slips but here is what i remeber.... BTW i let out before i ran all the way through the quarter as you can see by my trap speed... if someone could chime in and tell me what i may have ran in the 1/4 if i would not have let out lol!!!!

60ft. 1.9 (same as what i ran on street tires)
1/8 mile 7.6
1/4 mile 12.1
1/4 mile speed 93 mph

what do you guys think im capable of running!!!!???
thanks again guys!!!

def have to work on my 60ft!
