Been thinking about getting another toy. I'd prefer another 5.0 fox, but I'm only looking to spend about $2k tops this time around & I already know that's next to impossible for a half decent fox. :eyes:

Do I have any other decent options? Has to be RWD V8. I'm sure I'll get a lot of 3rd gen f-body suggestions, but the powerplant is not exactly the most mod friendly.

I was going to suggest a Fox. If you go with a 3rd gen, get one with an L98 and replace the TPI with a Stealthram. You could always get a set of vortec heads and the vortec style Stealthram and have your topend taken care of.

If I were to own another 3rd gen and not do an ls1 swap, I'd do the vortec heads/stealtram and t-56 approach.

What kind of potential are we looking at with the stealthram & how much do they usually go for?

I'd go with some good aftermarket heads not vortec. I'm also going stalled auto

It's looking like $579.98 for a complete setup with an Adjustable Regulator. I think you will need some fittings for the fuel rail as well. It's essentially a tunnel ram so it'll make a spinner if that's what you want.

Here is some more info:

Some sort of Monte Carlo, or Cutlass Supreme. Gutless 305 Chevy or 307 Olds engines, but you can pick up a fairly clean, good running example for 2k, lots of room under the hood for a BBC.
