Default Schrader valve install

I removed my schrader valve a couple of years ago to install a wet nitrous kit. I have a 98 Z28. I removed it from the Driver's side fuel rail.

I recently sold the nitrous kit and bought a Schrader valve core from GM. What tool do I use to install this? Thanks.

There are valve install tools at any local auto parts store. Then again, i had to stick one in this weekend for a buddy of mine, and didn't have my tool. I just used a really skinny pair of needle nose pliers and threaded it in that way.

Go to a bike shop or look in the tire accesories, valve stems, etc, section of an auto parts store. Or look on your bicycle. A lot of valve stem caps have the schrader install tool right on it.

They are universal. One exception I know of is the one at the end of a compression gauge, they have weaker springs.

I've seen some with different rubber/plastic sealing materials also. Not sure if this would have an effect on exposure to fuel. But it shouldn't matter as long as you always keep a cap on it.
The cap is there to keep debris out of it and to protect it from leaking.
