got in a wreck.....
guy in a big truck was ridin beside me and didnt see me and just came on over....i whipped it to the right where luckily noone was parked in the parkin spots with the meters....he realized what he did and got back over....i come back over and rear swings out...i try to correct it but i slide across the road and hit 2 parked cars.....didnt hurt them bad.....but my fiberglass door is shredded, qtr panel crushed, and tail light busted......it had BARELY drizzled just a min b4....and this was done at 45 mph.......car is still driveable...
in the police report the guy is the only one marked as contributing to the accident
i filed a claim against his insurance....they have my statement and will be sending some one to quote the damage later this week....
some have said its prolly totalled....i doubt it....
retail on it is 6280....with many options and 75k miles

I had some guy hit me in the car park last year, almost same spot on the rear quarter. His insurance approved repair shop quoted $1390.00, I just got the insurance to send the check direct to me and fixed it myself.

Damage?? What damage?? I don't see no damage!!!
Seriously guys, the first few minutes when it starts raining is the worst as it raises the oil & dust on the road surface but it hasn't washed away yet. Lucky, it could've been way worse.
One question: is the rocker panel damaged? It's the panel front to rear under the door that wraps under the car. That can be a bitch to change or fix and can be costly. The door can be replaced and the quarter can be patched and moulded by a good body guy.

Rear quarter panels on our car dont come off they are part of the unibody. They have to be cut and replaced.
They are of structural importance in our cars.
Sucks man. If they dont total it which I bet they will. I seriously doubt it will get fixed right which sucks.
What doesnt look like much now and move shift and tweak alot of ****.
If its fixed i hate to say it but I see ttop and hatch fitment issues in your future.
I have personally replaced a rear quarter panel and its alot of work, especially if the damage extends into the door jam or under the door (the place where side skirts would go I cant think of the name).
Insurance companys will only pay out a certain percentage of a cars total worth. Even if they say they would fix it I wouldnt want it.
If they fix it you better check over it real well and douuble check all the rear suspension and thrust angle and whatnot.
When I helped fixed on like that we had to create a hydraulic press to move the driver side sail panel (the bar that runs over behind the ttops) out cause although the damage looked minor at first it had shifted everything.

Thats nothing! I have fucked up some cars and it buffed out! Now the thing is the damage might cost more than blue book?????? Get the check buy it back and fix it! The 1/4 might need serious bondo or weld a new or one in?
I thought they were tack welded in then some bondo or whatever they use?
