thinking about ls1? tuning question

Default thinking about ls1? tuning question

considing do a ls1 swap, with efi live or hp tuner, can i delete my maf sensor and only run map? does a ls1 have a map sensor or would i have to add one? would i need a custom OS's?

Yes, LS1s have a MAP sensor and you can run speed density. It is better to use one of the custom operating systems because you can use dual spark tables (low and high octane). And the EFILive COS's have other nice features you may want as well... As long as the PCM is a 99 or newer, you can us an EFILive COS. Hope that helps...

cool. so i definitely dont need a mas air flow sensor correct, if i get efi live or hp tuner? one more thing, i heard u can delete the check engine, is that 4 a single code or only all the codes? thanks buddy

Yes if you need to turn off individual items you can do that with Hp tuners

Yes u can delete any codes u want. You can unplug ur MAF and it will work. this can all be done with hp tuners. When you unplug your MAF it will use you low octane spark table and your secondary VE table. those will be the tables that you use now for all your a.f and spark changes. also your PE table will not be used anymore... Everything is done in your VE table for fuel
