Default New PB tonight at Cecil

Well I made the trip to Cecil tonight got down there right after the gates opened. Weather was nice and they did do come track prep. I got a total of 5 runs in before I had to pack it up when Cam02ss had a stroke of bad luck and seems to have spun a bearing or something his first trip out since doing a LOT of work to the car. So I trailered his car home and had to drive mine home so I stopped racing and called it a night.

First pass

60' 2.154
330 5.243
1/8 7.645
mph 104.29
1000 9.687
1/4 11.393
mph 133.33

Second pass

60' 2.127
330 5.184
1/8 7.600
mph 103.91
1000 9.656
1/4 11.369
mph 132.66

Well I was thinking the car is consistant. That is all I have been able to do the last couple times out

Third pass

60' 1.913 HOLY CRAP I got it under a 2.0
330 4.836
1/8 7.211
mph 105.35
1000 9.301
1/4 11.071
mph 128.92 DAMN I missed 4th gear

OK so at this pont I think I figured out how to launch the car with out blowing the tires off (10 bolt bone stock suspension and 275 40 17 MT ET streets)

Fourth pass

60' 2.054
330 5.101
1/8 7.511
mph 104.03
1000 9.575
1/4 11.2.97
mph 131.83

Car bogged bad off the line.

Fifth pass

60' 1.865
330 4.736
1/8 7.113
mph 104.91
1000 9.161
1/4 10.869
mph 132.74

That run felt great. And I am happy that I got it in the 10's with stock TA and 10 bolt. Now I just need to get a 9 in and setup the suspension over the winter and here we come low 10s in the spring

Over all it was a good night I got to see Fireball run a 8.3X @ 171 or something like that. All I can say is that car moves

dsschmittie did not get a chance to see you run times look good MPH looks awsome. Gonna be great when you get some traction.

Carniage was kind of high last night. Best of luck to Cam02ss hope it`s just a lifter problem. And the silver z06 with rear injury. Good luck to you guys. Look forward to seeing those cars in the spring!!!!

Will and I were both hot lapping. I made 5 passes between 6 and 7:30. Yeah and the noise from the motor got worse while we loaded it on my trailer. I feel bad for him. That motor got rebuilt once already for a bearing issue. I am not sure that I meet you. Where you one of the guys that came over when I showed up and was looking at the car?

Yeah i was the one who pulled off the valve covers before u got there and checked everything out. I was hoping for a loose rocker or something but that wasnt the case.

All in all I had a fun night..even with the car ending up with another issue. Great to see Dan in the 10's finally & thanks for the trailer ride home. Thanks Fran for helping me check the car out and Fireball for letting us use his tools. I've been away all week due to a new job but hopefully something will be discovered this weekend.

It's all good Mike, it's probably something stupid, but either way we'll get it worked out over the winter. I'll be back out in the spring to finally make some 9 second passes and get certified.
