Final gear in 1/4 mile using 4.11 and stock SS wheels I have an M6 that pulls to 6300 RPM's. It makes peak HP at 6100 RPM's so I am thinking 6300-6400 RPM's shifts. I don't want to shift into 5th gear in the quarter. I will probable run Nitto 275/40/17 DR or 16 inch ET Streets. I heard 3.90's are available. What are the differences in performance? What do you guys thinks?

Re: Final gear in 1/4 mile using 4.11 and stock SS wheels 4.11s will carry you to 119 with stock height tires at 6400 RPM in 4th. This would be equivalent to a ~116-117 trap speed (trap speed and actual speed are not the same.)
So, the question is, do you plan to go faster than that in the 1/4?
