Default wiring harness for fuel level sender

Hey guys. I am getting some weird readings on my fuel level guage and I want to check the wiring to the sender back at the diff where the harness plugs to the body of the car. Which wires specifically in that harness are for the fuel level sender? Thanks in advance.

Purple and black but it is usually the sender itself the cars are getting old and the resistor is deteriorating. Most of the fuel kits we do need a sender.
