Default Hotcam+1.8+ls6 springs?

Wondering if I could add 1.8 rockers to my Hotcam setup without over taxing my yellow ls6 springs?

1.8's should put your lift @ .556, and that (in my opinion) is pushing your luck with those springs. If you really want 1.8's, I would get the Comp 918's. They're good to .600

I wouldn't try it with the Hotcams and LS6 springs that come with the kit. The Hot Cams duration (219/228) is a lot of ramp rate for that cam and I have seen bent valves on the Corvette LS6 (untouched) with stock internalls (cam, springs). I would get at least the Comp Cams 918 springs and they will work just fine with the stock retainers. The 1.8 just guessing will take the .525 lift you have now with stock rockers to between .545 to .560 lift (just gueesing). With the money 1.8 will run I'd just change cams with more lift.

No you should not do that, have a set of 243 heads in my garage with a broken spring now from a guy that pulled them from his stock motor with stock LS6 cam and stock rockers.

Thanks for the advice guys...I will abort that idea, since I need to swap springs I will just grab a different cam if I feel the need for more power. But need to work on getting the power I have now to the ground.
