Default pissed off grand prix owner.. help?

Ok so this is my Moms car. Every time I come back home for a break there is something new wrong with her car. My whole family owns Gm but man, I'm about to buy a Ford or something. So I want to know if any of you ahve had these problems and what it took to fix it????

First off, the plastic dash pice where the HUD is cracked, mind you this is a garage kept car, it was even on the showroom floor when we bought it so this thing has rarely seen sun.

Second, The HUD is like off its track?? I see it on the winshield but I have to like look really low, and it wont move when I try to adjust it with the button.

Third, The keyless doesn't work one bit. I replaced the battery in the remote and still nothing. Is there a fuse or something like that?

Fourth, The speakers make a crackling noise sometimes and to get it to stop I have to hit the dash.

Fifth, the lights for the ac controls and seat warmers.... only half of them work.

My mom went to the dealership about the dash and they said FU, your car is not under warranty, so going to them about anything else is going to be stupid. Can this thing be classified under the lemon law? lol

I need help guys. Let me know what you think I should do and what I can fix that might be easy and like where I can get the cracked dash piece.

Not under lemon law. In order for lemon law to apply they have to acknowledge that there's a problem and there has to be a certain number of attempts to correct it without success.

Its a gtp. but that shouldn't matter because none of these problems pertain to the drive train. It is an 05 gtp with 60 k miles on it. sorry I didn't say that at first.

Maybe the problem with the crack and the h.u.d alignment is from you hitting the dash to make the speakers stop crackling.

Well it does matter, the GXP is totally different than the GTP.

This is the LS4 section of this site...so if it isn't a GXP you are on the wrong site.

clubpg.com

the GTP and GXP don't share all the same parts, and the wiring is very different. All GM cars are different.

lol iron head. I knew someone would say that. But I was hitting the passenger side of the dash

And I didn't know that the HUD would be different and the dash would be different? I also figured the keyless was the same seeing that they all do the same thing.

So post this on club gp and I should be better off? I guess I need to sign up over there.

Your keyless entry system requires a new antenna to work correctly. If you have Tire pressure monitoring system you might notice every now and again one isnt working this uses the same antenna as the keyless entry. Seems like some of these problems would have existed during its 36k warranty ?.

I'm guessing most of your complaints can be repaired by the dealer relativily cheaply

As far as the lights on your hvac controls i'm guessing something got unplugged its unusual for those kind of lights to burnout. Just remove the trim around the radio and remove the screws and you can pull it out and check the connections

Go to gpona.com. Much better crowd there to help you out. As far as the speakers it sounds like you need new ones. Once you go to gpona look up Ed Morad. He has a salvage yard dedicated to w bodies. He can get you parts that you need such as replacement stock speakers and a new dash and other items you may need.

It was so cold here this morning (15 below 0) that my H.U.D. displayed "HUD WARMING UP" for a few seconds. Thought that was pretty funny.
