Default Tried for 8's

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7dyXgTNvtA

Went to the track for the last time this year and decided to go for it. The traction was there but the car just wasn't going to cooperate with me. Ran three times with the same results every time, so I gave up before I broke something.

Nice pass. Sounded like you lifted a little at the top of the wheelstand. Had to cost ya a little.

The car went 9.46@141 on a 250 shot with no problems at all so I thought I would go 50hp at a time to see how close I could get to the 8's but the car would not stay on the ground at all. The data log showed me to be at 60% throttle for about .8ths and still ran 9.44@146 so it might of been a good pass. Here is the vid of the last pass I made before I to called it quits. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vk4jKw58x8g

glad to see i'm not the only one having wheelstand issues.... and hell i'm only leaving on a 150 shot...

sweet passes man.... better safe than sorry when it comes to leaning on the car hard....

I have one possibly two more track days this year to go out to to try and break the record and be the 1st in the 8's on spray.... bringing my car down to the chassis shop so he can inspect it this week..

what tires are you on?????

Good luck getting into the 8s i'm done for the year. Unfortunately the setup I want to run next year might be harder to control than this one. Any suggestions on how to keep the front end down? I,m running the M/T 28x10.5 e.t. drag.
