Default Changed MAF and car feels slower

Why does my car feel slower after i put the slp MAF sensor in my car?

because it might be.. maybe it isn't calibrated correctly?

gm unmodded maf is the only one ill run on my car

you need to tune the computer to pick up the higher air flow. however we did have a 402 that got 2 tenths faster after we put on a bigger granitelli one with same tune.

The stocker is fine up to 400+rwhp.

^more like 500rwhp, The only reason not to run the stocker os if your on a SD tune

well how do i tune it? Can i use a handheld tuner because i have hypertech but i dont know if that will work with it.

Honestly your better off taking it off and reinstalling the stock MAF. Seen several people have nothing but trouble. Plus it'll probally cost you over $100 to get it tuned correctly with that maf

It's very simple to re-calibrate your MAF table. It's done all of the time. Although, I don't think your programmer has the capability. Where are you located?

Go to the tunning section & start a thread requesting help w/ re-scaling your MAF table & note your general location. There's a good chance that a member will help. If not, a local tuner can do it for a nominal fee.

FYI, at Wide Open Throttle (WOT) The MAF calibration means nothing.

Most likely he is speaking about part throttle acceleration. In theroy, if it was a restriction the more air you can flow the more power the engine makes.

Agreed, because they must adjust their tuning to consider the MAF's aftermarket calibration.
