Timing cover/ oil pan seal
Im adding a cam on my buddies Lt and the seal ripped on the drivers side, I did everthing I could not to be it was stuck in the cover. Now can I just RTV it up in that corner or is pan gasket replacment a must? I have the pan unbolted but its hitting the K-member, I take it Ill have to remove a engine mount and lift or jack up the engine enough?

I did the same thing, ended up just replacing the whole gasket, one of those if you're gonna do it do it right things.. You could probably seal it with RTV but, there's always the chance of you putting it all back together and having an oil leak..
I figured with everything apart and tools out might has well just do it right the first time. (Yes, you'll need to unbolt motor mounts and lift motor to drop pan out.)

I did the same thins and i just bit the bullet and replaced it with a fel pro, you can jack the motor up a few inches with the motor mount bolts out then you can drop the pan the few inches and you can use your hand and just thread the gasket up threw the back... Don't try to skimp on it, its like a 20 dollar gasket, just do it while your there...

For all you M6 folks fyi, you have to loosen all the k-member bolts and then take out the rear 2 to get the pan out. If the pan hits on the crank then turn the bolt in the crank snout over until you get enough clearance.
