Here is the situation... First, my power door locks started messing up... My drivers door still locks and unlocks, but my passenger door will only lock but never unlock. Sometimes the alarm double beeps when you lock it and the red light blinks like normal when arming the factory alarm. Then again, sometimes it only beeps once and the yellow security light stays on. Then when I start the car, it will stay on for a few minutes and then go off. I have had a time or two where the car will not start when the yellow light is on. I cleaned the key and ignition slot and have not had any problems starting it, but the other things with the yellow light and my alarm not engaging and my doors not unlocking has me concerned. I did pull the door panel on my passenger door just to make sure it was not the actuator, and it works both ways directly off of 12 volt power, so I do know the actutor is not dead. Thanks.

Two separate systems - the security light in the instrument cluster is for the VATS system (ignition key and starter relay/fuel enable)... the door locks and red LED are part of the keyless entry/alarm system. The two systems are separate and unrelated although they are both controlled by the BCM. So it's possible you have a faulty BCM. Do the chimes, courtesy lights and retained accessory power work normally? They are controlled by the BCM as well.

Now that you ask, the courtesy lighing acts kinda sporatic at times. Sometimes it will take a while to dim, and then sometimes it dims right away. The chimes also sound very wierd. The chimes sound fine until I start the car... then they sounds really fuzzy and weak. I did not know if this was normal or not. Everything else seems to be working properly
