You should be able to reach your goal of high 11s low 12s cam only, or atleast with a stock bottom end. If you haven't started the build, I'd recommend you buying a nitrous kit and holding off on the 383. Save yourself a few grand on the build and spray your way to high 10s and maintain daily driveability. Just my .02.

That will be capable of hitting 11's. My pointer for you with experience with the same Stall is to launch from about 1000-1200rpm. Launching from there has gotten me my best '60 times, just something to help you get a little better et when you do run it.

A 383 with a decent amount of cam should be in the 450 plus HP range, so yes, high 11's with a decent stall and rear is very attainable.

You'll easily hit a high 11 in a 383 with a GM847 and ported heads. If you can drive, you could hit that in a cam-only, stock displacement LT1, with a decent enough cam.

Small cams can get it done too. Stock block, trans, and rearend. It has some suspension pieces but sits on Eibach Pro lowering springs and stock shocks. Gotta love those MT street radials. 12.0xs in the heat, and low 11.9xs in good air.

Spohn chassis mounted adj. TA, tied into KBDD subframe connectors. Set at minus 1 1/2 degrees pinion angle. Lakewood control arms with welded relocation brackets set at the lower hole.
