Well recently just finished a new motor, including stock vortec heads but i had screw in studs and guide plates put on, a typhoon intake and some procomp roller rockers

anyhow i noticed a light tapping noise upon initial timing, so i pull the valve cover and sure enough a loose rocker oh btw this is a solid cam, so i pull the rocker off to see if it caused any damage and i see some grooves cut into it cause by the head of the stud

all the rockers have a little wear but this is by far the worst, does anyone have a suggestion that will help me out.

thanks luke

Returned your PM. I think you mave have installed them with the fulcrum upside down, easy fix as per the PM......

Ither that, or whoever machined the heads did a shit job and did not machine the stud holes down far enough.

i installed the rockers correctly, we also talked about the valve guide castings not being machined off for a big cam, but the studs sit flush when all the way tightened.

i think the problem lies with misadjusted rockers which came from mis leading advice

I saw your picture and it was a case of Dejavu! I had a set of Procomps on a pair of Twisted Wedge heads...same problem!! Luckily, I noticed it while I was measuring for pushrod length. I took each rocker arm and removed a little material in the offending areas. Never had a problem. Sold the motor a few years ago and a guy is still racing it. Just be careful to grind away the minimum amount. Also, cleanliness is next to godliness in this scenario. You don't want anything getting into the needle bearings or they will wipe out quick (I used heavy axle grease as a protective barrier).
