Talking Headers beyond my expectations!

I installed my Hooker Long Tubes about 2 weeks ago and just got my Ypipe built for it friday...

Its 1-7/8 LTs with 3" Ypipe to a 3" Magnaflow catback!

IT SOUNDS AMAZING!

And the Power I gained from this set up was BEYOND my expectaions!

The only comparision I can make to it is racing a LS2 6.0 GTO down the hwy that friday night and staying DEAD NEXT to it!

It pulls so much harder all the way thru!

Just thought Id share... Im goin try and get a sound clip up for you guys!

Good stuff! Magnaflow and LT's sound great together. Im actually ditching that setup for duals in 2 weeks but in terms of catbacks its IMO right behind GMMG.

Well I havent heard the GMMG on an LT1 but It completely changed the sound of the car... Sounds SICK at 4000+!

Cant wait to return to the track... try to get my 11.19 down to the 10s! (1000ft)

Yep headers make a huge difference in power, esp low end.

OH, Ive had my headers for about 2 months in my room and didnt have the cash for the Ypipe and the tune but I went ahead and installed them, ended up not doing a tune yet and still have no Service Engine Light after the install...(thats what I was worried about)...

I wouldnt say that.

O2s sensors are critical to determine a suitable A/F ratio. If the connection is bad or weak the computer will think the engine is running lean or rich . Many people that use the cheap o2 wire extension kit that pacesetter provides have problems in the future with tuning and A/F.

My point is O2 sensors and the connection are absolutely critical for performance gains esp with nitrous and FI. All tuners highly recommend o2 extensions and ac delco O2 sensors for lt1s for a reason.
