Eastern Members - Recommend a good shop for T/C install? E.PA NJ
Like the title says I'm looking for good shop to do my T/C install for my '98Z.
Hopefully they handle more then Transmissions, as I'll need a tune and have other plans for the car. I like to talk to the shop before I buy the convertor, in case they have an affiliation with a particular company( i.e. I buy a Yank but find a good shop that only deals with Vig.) Please don't recommend Harris. I'm located in Levittown PA.
Thanks in advance.

Justin,
In case you didn't get the email I sent you, I attached it below. Unfortunately we wouldn't be able to get to it for a while, so I would recommend giving Mikey at Rapid Motorsports a call or if you're near North Jersey, Matt at TTP can help as well. Thanks!

"Hello, I am going to be purchasing a Torque convertor for my 98 Z28. My only mods so far are lid and cat back. I would like to have your company do you the install. You have a very good rep. over on Ls1tech, and I haven't found one negative post in regards to your services and products. 1. Do you have any recomendations or preference as to which T/C to buy? I'm leaning towards the Yank 3600, and either a Vig or TCI. 2. I can pay cash if that matters. How much would the install cost total? 3. My trans shifts great now at 6200 wot. would I require tuning for the T/C to work properly ? If so is that included in the total price? I see you guys are off of Mearns, are you located by Cornell? (Site work guys, Yellow trucks) 4. Tranny cooler, how much to install that? I might put that on myself, as that is in the realm of my limited skills. Thanks for your time and look forward to doing business.
P.S My goals are to do the T/C, then LT's ORY, and cam. If that matters any.
Justin
Hi Justin,
The shop is full right now with winter projects, I'm afraid it would
be a wile before we could get you in for the install, sorry."
Will do. Thanks

I got the email, thats why I posted this. It is also why I wrote "Please don't recommend Harris". Like I said in the return email it is unfortunate for me that your shop is too busy but I am glad to hear that someone is busy in this economy.

Again my apologies, I was just making sure you got the email. Thanks.

Thanks Fran, I look forward to doing business with ya.
No problem, no hard feelings Nick. I heard alot of good stuff about ya's and your shop was 15 mins away. Thats just my luck. But Fran was pretty knowledgable on the phone and made me a good deal, so it all worked out in the end.
Again my apologies, I was just making sure you got the email. Thanks.
