Default American Racing Headers First Gen LS1 F-body Headers

Hey Guys, It took a while (about a year) to finally get a first Gen F-body in the shop that has an LS1 based engine swap and fits all the necessary criteria for prototyping. We've had numerous phone calls for big tube LS1 swap headers for the First Gen's that have all the great features ARH headers are known for. They are now available. I'll have photo's up later today or early tomorrow.
Here's the scoop. The headers were prototyped on a 69 Camaro with stock engine location and stock steering box in place. Mounting brackets are from Detroit Speed. Headers are available in 1-3/4", 1-7/8" and 2" with 3", 3-1/2" or 4" collectors. Custom sizing for collectors is available upon request. They will be 100% U.S. made using 304 S/S. D-port flanges will be available for LS3/LS7 style exhaust ports.
If you have questions please feel free to ask. Stay tuned as we're working on getting photo's up real soon. Thanks.

Nick

OK the pricing for the headers are as follows, you will get the headers and 2 6" extensions with clamps for the remainder of the exaust to be built off of

1-3/4x3 $865
1-7/8x3 $895
1-7/8x3.5 $920

We also offer a 2" header with many options for more race oriented vehilces as far as collector sizes and such those start at $995 a set

We could do coating but these are 100% 304 stainless steel and will never rust. We normally don't coat the stainless

That's something we could do but it would be a custom build we would need to build them on your car. I doubt there would enough interest to make a production piece of that setup

Don't get me wrong I love swaps and conversion vehicles and when your is done I would like to see some pics. But a 67 mustang is alot different than a fox-body mustang which I agree are getting alot of lsx attention. When making a production piece we need to determine how much interest theres going to be for that part to offset the cost off developing that part.

Tom, nice, good job! I talked with you about making a set last spring and you said the mock up car was about a week out. I was going to put them in my 69 Camaro vert with a LS7. At that time I had a set of Hooker Super-Comps. I went with ATS Tri-Y's. I have to say that your price is awesome! Keep up the great work. Post it on Pro-touring.com and you'll get alot of response.

for anyone interested in these...they only work for a manual or turbo400...I have an 80e and got the 2" primary 3.5" collector option and they are buried into my shifter linkage. there is no way in hell an 02 sensor will fit in the location they provided. after a call with their production guy, they wont fit with an 80e and they've run into this issue a few times.

wouldn't you think that that should be included in the description on their website?

if you're running a T56, these headers fit amazing with S&P mounts. they tuck into the floor great for ground clearance....i'm just confused why they pointed the collector in so far when they could move it out 2" and have it fit all transmissions.
