Default I need pump install help asap!

I am installing a racetronix fuel pump on 99 ss, and I can;t get the fuel sock to come out the round hole in the buttom of the bucket. it doesn't line up to fit out. the buttom of the fuel pump where the sock hooks up is on the opposite side of the bucket than the hole. Is it ok to leave the sock inside the bucket? and the instructions suggest to prime the pump, how do i do this?
Thanks
Justin

OK, so i went and put the pump in and started the car and I am only getting 55 psi at idle and when i rev the engine it drops to the 40's. On my last pump it stayed at 60 psi constantly. I bought the racetronix with the wiring harness but only have it hooked up to my stock harness for now.
Any ideas as to why i am seeing a lower psi?

Did you get the directions with the kit????

The Racetronix kit is not supposed to come out the bottom of the bucket... it goes inside the bucket. The venturi & factory bottom sock on the bucket are supposed to remain intact.

I do not recommend you use the kit without the harness.

It did come with directions, the pump that was on the car previously didn't have a filter sock on the buttom of the bucket, so when it showed one there i assumed the one of the pump came out the buttom of the bucket. Where can i get a replacement venturi hose?

So where is the sock for the bottom of the pump now?
Does your bucket have any holes made in it?
Is the jet-pump still in the bucket along with the two checkvalves in the bottom?

The sock is on the buttom of the pump inside the bucket.
The bucket is not cut, there is a round opening on the buttom of the bucket, where i would assume the second filter sock attaches to the bucket.
I am not sure what the jet pump is, but if this clears things up, before i slide the pump assembly into the bucket, there is nothing in the bucket
From what i have gathered I am missing one filter sock that goes on the buttom of the bucket, is there something else that i am missing? Is there something that helps bring the fuel into the bucket?

These components must be intact:

That is exectly what i was tryin to figure out, thank you for the pictures.
So, where the venturi system is i just have a hole, not one that looks like it was cut, but just that the venturi system is missing. IS it possible to get a replacement venturi system or do i need a new bucket completely. Also, does the second filter sock attach to the buttom of the venturi system?
Lastly, where can I get a replacement venturi system or a replacement bucket, i checked autozone and they coudlnt' find anything with that name and they didn't carry a replacement bucket.

You will have to buy another bucket assembly with everything intact.
The brown Nylon mesh sock goes on the bottom of the jet pump's inlet.
There may be damage to the Racetronix pump now since it was run without a functioning bucket assembly.

A word of wise to the masses reading this thread. Do not move ahead with your pump installation or attempt to run the pump if there is even the slightest thing that is missing, out of place or just does not seem right. It can cost you a pump or even worse a motor. When in doubt contact a Racetronix dealer or support@racetronix.com.

I have called the local parts stores and chevy aswell, and they only sell the entire pump assembly as a complete package for around 700 dollars. Any ideas where I can get just the bucket assembly?
