Default Check engine light not coming on.

Like the title says, won't even come on when I turn the key before I start the car. Any ideas?

that is what Im hoping it is. I just havent had a second to get in and try to switch the bulb out yet. If I hook up a obd2 monitor to it it still reads codes so Im hoping its something easy like the bulb.

he said the scanner was showing codes without the light on... i for one would like to see a "your car is gonna go boom" light as a warning if there is a problem.

Ya i'd like to see it incase there are any problems. But the main reason im worried about it is because here in missouri if that light doesnt work at all you fail emissions.
