I have a quick question to the guys that you's the datamaster dataloger. I already have the free log set up on my labtop. is all i need now to use the free scans is an aldl cable? and do i need to registar it to use the free scan or is that only when you want to buy it?

Yes, all you need is the datamaster program and an ALDL cable. The software gives you 20 free recordings and then you need to register/license it to continue to record ($150 I believe) however you have unlimited playbacks of files all you want.
