I was off today so decided to make a trip to the theater. There's a few movies I wanted to see but with it being opening weekend for this movie and me being a big fan I couldn't resist. It was real good. If your into 007 movies you will not be disappointed.

For some reason I thought it was the Quantum of Solstice.

No idea why.

COOL. I like the Bond movies, even the older ones. It had to evolve some with the action scenes even though some don't like the "Bourne" style action in a Bond flick. I really liked the last one & am looking forward to this one as well.

I'm probably going tonight

11-14-2008, 07:29 PM
I hate the title.

11-14-2008, 07:37 PM
wtf does the title have to do with anything?

I figured it had something to do with how he lost his girl in the last one. Quantum of solace = revenge making him feel a little better.

Who know's for sure though. Might just sound cool.

I could care less about the title but the new bond girl is hott

Pretty good site to watch new movies not even out yet.

Quantum of Solace on there already.

Olga Kurylenko is smokin' but the movie sucked. I walked out of there so pissed.

11-15-2008, 05:01 AM
Isn't it about him trying to get revenge on the last girl? Honestly I thought the last one sucked.

11-15-2008, 07:18 AM
it's not the typical bond movie and that put a twist on what I was expecting. I still liked it. The one thing I was looking forward to was all the gadgets that bond usually gets.

11-15-2008, 09:57 AM
It was good, but Casino Royale was better.

11-15-2008, 12:33 PM
Everyone I talk to about it says it lacked the whole "bond formula" that they use to have...gadgets, humor, corny lines of his, odd bad understanding was this was to much of a copy of a Bourne movie..

I miss Q and Money Penny....

I thought Strawberry Fields was hot, too.

sorry but I didn't miss q but I did like him and the gadgets. I think the story line was little better then most of the other bonds. I too am a bond fan but I see it going in a new direction and it's not all that bad.

i like the new Bond Movies. Both the girls in this movie were Hot:D I like the lack of gadgets. I never cared for all the crazy gadets and stuff that seemed so fake. More fight scenes and better story lines in these. That and Daniel Craig is such a smart ass and it cracks me up

11-15-2008, 02:56 PM
In Quantum of Solace, was there an official bond girl? It seemed like there were two, but they were both not really involved enough with Bond to make it seem like they were the official bond girl of the movie.

11-15-2008, 03:19 PM understanding was this was to much of a copy of a Bourne movie..

Thats what I thought when i was watching it last night, the rooftop and building fight scenes were too much like the bourne movies. It was OK but this one was not near my favorite. Still was decent though. The funniest thing for me though was that the theater was full of like 70 year old all the way down to 20 year olds. Bond attracts both young and old. I has my 4 year old with (he loves james bond) me and 70 year olds in the row behind me.

It was sweet..

F-ing loved the movie, it was great, action was awesome, Craig is a great bond, yes there werent the gadgets but i think that is because he is still gaining M's trust as these are supposed to be prequil bonds. he did not get 00 status until Casino royale so maybe the gadgets dont start yet? DOnt know but it was great movie.

Big fan of the older bond movies with Connery and Moore. I have seen them all, and own the box set. The new ones never did much for me, but i did like Casino Royale. I have yet to go out and see Quantum of Solace but i plan on it soon.

Saw it tonight.....a serious rip-off of the Bourne movies...the actions scenes screamed Jason Bourne. Some bad Gun Barrel at the start.....REALLY bad opening all around just LACKED the bond formula. I mean yeah some of the gadgets made it seem fake but all the bond movies been like that even in the books. But now its just James Bourne Supramacy 007....good movie but no james bond.

11-17-2008, 12:13 AM
Watched it tonight it was alright.

11-17-2008, 12:40 AM
They used 5 Aston Martin DBS's and completely destroyed at least 2 of them....

Pictures and Story-

I hate it when they destory a nice car like that, but i will still watch it. I've always liked Bond, but idk if i like where they are going with the movies.

11-17-2008, 12:09 PM
Atleast he had it longer then 30seconds then what he had of it in the last movie.

I went and saw the movie Firday night with my family and girlfriend, loved it. I thought it was a great movie. My girlfriend had never seen a James Bond movie before, she walked out of the theatre having enjoyed it.

Being from England, it's a religion almost over there when a new Bond film debuts.

I'am trying to find an excuse to go see it again. Hopefully soon when my girlfriends brother comes into town.

Bond Then and Now:
With all Bond movies; what they were and what they are today is what I think to be the best modern twists and features keeping the roots and style that Bond or the Bond movies themselves have always portrayed. Not to mention that Daniel Craig is a great Bond. (My opinion)

gotta see it but dont think ill like it. pierce brosnan was kinda shitty, connery was the best, craig is awesome, casino royale was awesome. i love the bourne movies, every single one kicks ass. but if its too much like those then i dont think ill like it because its supposed to be bond, witty, charming, humorous, action filled, gadgets, the car, the music, and the drink.

11-18-2008, 05:17 AM

Hell ya I was upset when Pierce Brosnan left the bond films and then from there on it was just another cop movie. I liked the gadgets and the characters in all of the past bond films but I hate the way that these movies are going! :eyes:

Quantum of Solace should've been named Quantum of Boredom. I don't think I've seen a more BLAH movie since Superman Returns. I mean, here we have a movie where nothing of significance happens ever. They go from one country to another every other second, things break, there's some Kung-fu, some serious faces from Bond and M and that's basically the movie.

Who? What? When? Why? They couldn't convince me to care during this film. The villains were so dorky and laughable I think my mailman is more dangerous. What happened to Mr. White? What about the super-secret organization behind everything? How the hell was Mathis suddenly innocent? Loose ends on top of an unfulfilling story/plot.

Well, maybe the NEXT one might cause me to give a damn...

11-18-2008, 09:57 AM
Guess you weren't paying attention. Mr. White was at the opera, he was one of the people smart enough not to stand up. Quantum seems to be the name of the organization.

I liked it, I think Casino Royale was better though. I'll have to watch it a few more times to see what I missed, you never catch everything on a first watch.

11-18-2008, 11:25 PM
pierce was the best imo the new one was ok but i wasnt payin much attention

ill probally have to go see it again
