Default skinny front tires?

I know some use the VW tires but I don't really want to rick my car on those. If they worked out for you then great.

I want to know what people are using for their 3.5x15's tire wise. Sportsmans, khumos and where are you gettign them from at a decent price.

Mickey Thompson Sportsman Front 26x7.4-15 fronts and ET Fronts 26x4.5-15 had great luck with them both. I get them at my work, but most get them from Summitracing.com or Jegs.com

ive suggested a 195 70 15 to guys before who didnt want to run a sportsman. its not a true skinny tire, but is great for a car you drive on a regular basis.
if its a weekend car, sportsman fronts.

Ive run the 165R15 tire, and have been lucky. This is a good cheap tire, for a VW. But for a 3600lb car, thats different. I think ALONG time ago(before ls1 was a thought) I was tolld this tire really isnt a 15. Its close but its a metric size and will fit. But just cuz it fits dont make it right. Go with a tire made for our cars weight.

So what is the main point of running a 24 or 26 in the front other than looks. Is there any perfoamnce gains from going to either one? Does the 26 feel better on the street, I would think it would.

Maybe I worded that wrong.. I paid like 180 ea for my Et street radials and like 160 ea for my SR's.. That's why I said I paid almost as much for the SR's as for the et streets..
