Default Eboost 2 got one coming install questions tips and tricks..

Got one coming in the mail . Putting it in center vents.
Few questions..where did you twin guys running dual solenoids mount the solenoids?
Is there a reason to use their plastic hose and then connect to rubber hose why not just run rubber hose all the way to the gauge and not bother with the adapter and the delicate plastic hose at all?

I assume it fits good in the center vent .Do I use any backing plate or anything or is it a tight friction fit. Dont' want any rattling.Did you buy any additional install kit?

It says something about negative 5 low working range. Does the display blank out if its colder than this or does it not work right? I won't be driving my car in that temp anyway normally but just wondering. This year not much snow yet so getting a few extra weeks of playing in.

Where did you get your power for the controller? Fuse box or somewhere else.

Do I have to cut anything in the vents behind the controller.

Anyone take pics of their eboost install or know of a how to for an f body?

The plastic hose is for the gauge, the rubber hose is for the solenoid.

Take your time tuning it, its very powerful, and lot adjustability.

Just figured why not run a vac rubber line right from intake to controller
and skip the plastic tube but guess have to take a look at my controller hopefully it will show up next few days.

Just figured it would simplify hook up and don't like extra adapters if don't need them.
but maybe there is no room on the back guess they had their reasons.

I will be very careful with the controller till get it figured out .Have been looking over the online manuals so have a pretty good handle on it already I think.
Looks like a nice toy!

I think it can do both. I am looking forward to it but think its stuck at canadian customs maybe they are behind or something. Well hoping it shows this week.I might hook it up for now just as boost gauge and then as controller in spring.I can't go full boost without my fuel system. need to take out my old sender to send it away which is bit of a pain or could go aps but their kit is too pricey I think for what you get. There is not even a fuel filter on it if you go to the full system. Why wouldn't they have a fuel filter. And system I am getting is bigger lines.

*Passes you because he is clicking up on the highway*

I agree with the hallman style MBCs, but I cant do boost by gear, nor can I hold the gate shut with it, nor can I control ramp and slope.

I spent 3 days on the dyno with the first one learning how it worked. The manual is 41 pages long, and you will have a headache after reading it, but once you see what it can do, its fantastic.

And if you really want to go fast, youll order an AMS1000

the large one is a perfect fit, you can dig through the foam in the dash to run the hose/ wiring. you will see.

my (single) solenoid is mounted on the fan shroud with a zip tie (bottom of the shroud)

mines in the far left vent. its really easy to install there because you can just pop the bezel around the gauges out to install it and then its right beside the fuse box. can't comment on functionality yet, i did turn it on and blow in the tube one time.... turns out I cant blow very hard

i suppose we are lucky over here having had the eboost 1 etc to work with.. i actually had one of the first eboost units ever made and there were problems with them..

the eboost 2 is just a upgrade from them, but with 20x the amount of functions.

when setup correctly you can get a boost line as flat as you want..

in some ways i actually liked the Eboost 1 better than the Eboost 2, we had a lot of problems with the first batch of Eboost 2's getting hit with RFI and instead of opening the wastegate they would close the wastegate and boost would go sky high, never had any of those problems with the eboost 1.

ive had this one for 3 years and still going strong..
