Default 402 ls2 with d1 /m6 GTO

just wandering what cam and heads work great with a procharged gto. Motor is being built this week and i need suggestions on weather to get prc stage 3 LQ9 heads or step up to the AFR's this is somewhat of a budget build. the cam i want it to have a great sounding idle but love boost so any help would be great.

AFR 205's or 225's, and the EPP blower cam. its a proven package!

I've got AFR 225's on my 402 d-1..I'm putting down 738/687 on a very conservative pump gas tune. I got a thread over on ls1gto if you wanna go check it out.

If you step up to AFR heads, I would go with the 225cc heads. For a budget build the PRC's will work just fine though. The D-1SC maxed out on a 402 will get you in the 16 psi neighborhood, which is the upper limit for a stock style head. The thicker casting on the AFR's allow higher boost levels, should you decide to upgrade into a larger head unit down the road.Bob
