12 bolt or a S60 for my ride?
Hey guys,Just about done AGAIN!!LOL with my 02 35th LE ss with a forged 6.0 and APS Twin turbo kit.Everything else is done but buar and drive shaft Its more of a show weekend worrier !!Ive talked with a few guys about the S60 and they think its a bit too heavy for the streey and the bumpy roads Was just wondering what you guys thought !It will be taken to the track every now an then But no Trans lock or line lock on the car.this is more or less a street driven car that i built !It does have the globel west torqe arm and am wanteing to retain my ABSShould i just go with a mosser 12 bolt and call it a day or go with the beefyer and heavyer S60?

Im guessing in upwards of 750HP with the APS twin turbo and IS!!!mostly street driven. Will do the summer flash light drags. But really didnt build the car to beat at the track LOL I Know, I Know, sounds crazy, but ive been there done that with my 87GN about 10 years back and looking back ,,,I could have bought a house for the money it cost me having fun at the track LOL So this one is weekend summer ride only. I have the 18''CCW505a rims with the 555 Nitto DR tires in the rear 305/35 that ill be keeping on the rear. The car is built for the track with UMI K member, Weld in subs,Global west torqe arm, etc,Im just wanting a low maintain rear that WILL handle the power when i unleash it Was wanting to keep my ABS and was leaning towards a S60 ,but after talking to sam strano he thinks this rear my be to heavy for daily weekend driver and hard or shocks and springs with the added weight! Now, this has a built 4L60 built by Rossler Trans and am running a good stock stall ( Percision )converter with no trans brake
DEFINATLY WANT A QUITE REAR thats #1 on my list LOL Alot of guys like the midwest chassis rears too being their only a few pounds heavyer then a stock 10 bolt ! I never realized picking a rear would be so tough !Its the last thing to finish this build too!

Exotic Performance Plus strongly recommends the Moser nine inch. This rear is even tougher than the Moser 12 bolt, and the horsepower of the late model F Body cars keeps escalating every year, which requires a very strong rear. With the recent introduction of the 6.2L GM aluminum block and the excellent flowing 6.2 litre heads, the horsepower of these cars is going to just keep climbing at a very fast pace. The nine inch will handle the power, plus we prefer the way the torque arm is bolted to the nine inch in the same way the oem rear-end is attached. (This is the only good thing about the stock 10 bolt...) The Moser 12 bolt uses four short bolts to attach the torque arm, and they have a habit of loosening up, even when loc-tite is used. Why the nine inch is stronger than the 12 bolt. The 9-inch has an internal rear-pinion support that also supports the gear end of the pinion to limit gear deflection under high torque loads. This seems to be the major reason why the 9 inch doesn't start whining after high rpm clutch dumps, when the 12 bolt will pick up noise. The 9-inch locates its pinion gear lower on the ring gear to improve tooth contact, than the 12 bolt does. The 9-inch has a 0.125-inch larger ring-gear diameter and internal pinion support than the 12 bolt does. This is not much of a difference, but it is worth noting.
Prices are currently $100.00 off the prices on my website until Dec 25th.
Here is the standard Moser 9 inch designed for our cars.

Here is the Moser M9 which is the lightweight (same weight as 10 bolt) fabricated rear.
http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com...html?item=1324 You take the $1800.00 housing/axles/torque arm and transmission crossmember and add whichever center section you want to use. Bob
