I think that the TSP 224 is the best for an all around cam.

People are going to tell you to use what they like.

The truth is, choosing a cam is like choosing shoes. Just because your foot fits in, doesn't mean it is a good fit.

First read the sticky about cams in the internal engine section. Learn what the specs mean and what they do to engine operation, power band, supporting mods, etc. Ask questions if you don't get it. Decide what you want out of your car, the RPM range your car is geared for, and read threads that discuss driveability. Some people don't mind their car shaking and surging. Others can't stand it and don't want to hear the valvetrain noise of dual springs. Then narrow down your choices.

If you do this, you'll be much happier with the outcome than the arbitrary TR224, MS3, F13, Megadonkeydick cam replies you'll get.

Or at least give us an idea of what you want, are looking for, and the supporting mods so we can give you better suggestions than the arbitrary cams. Even then you'll still just get someone else's opinion.

I agree with Greed4Speed. Its all about your preferance. But read up and also talk to the shop that you are wanting to do the install. The shop I use was wanting alot more than I thought and they weren't even able to tune it. So they were saying $400 for the cam. $400 for the install. And $400 for the tune after a $100 tow. So alot more than I was thinking. Just a FYI.

Thanks for all the opinions and I will do more research. As for the mods I have slp lid,slp loudmouth exaust, pacesetter longtubes and a tune so now I want a cam that will go good with those mods I'm also thinking of getting 3.73 gears or is that a waste of money.

A4 or M6...if ur a auto get 3.73's if ur a M6 go with 4.10's

also don't forget about everything else involved...

-gaskets
-balancer bolt
-oil pump
-pushrods
-springs
-timing chain

it all adds up

I'm thinking that would be a waste of effort and $.

Bang for the buck at your level, get a looser converter and those 3.73's. They'll do more to lower your ETs than a baby cam ever will.
