Bullet muffler in place of stock with a hide away tip or a Magnaflow. Magnaflow is tame but sounds nice. The other is loud but also sounds awesome.

If you're just going for sound then flowmaster is hard to beat with a stock system. It gets raspy though with no cats and longtubes.

I also like aerochamber mufflers, but i really dont like magnaflow.

magnaflow
1 chamber flowmaster if you do not care about having dual tips, you can have it set up with a outlet tip similar to the 2on the left..

I vote Flowmaster 80 series, if you want to still go with a crossflow muffler. I put one on my stock catback piping and was happy with it. I had shorties and no cat though.

No one is gonna have part numbers for mufflers, any muffler shop can install a single in/out muffler with a single outlet under the drivers side bumper.

I wish more people would do this as is makes comperable power to a full catback. With the exception of a 3.5 and 4 inch Mufflex.

AGREED! I have a Dynomax 3"in/3" single out Ultra Flow in place of the stock muffler and have NO power loss compared to an open cutout.

Way to be a dick.

I've thought about doing just a muffler on mine. On a mild cam only setup (hotcam or so) would the stock setup with aftemarket muffler be at all comparable to a full 3" cat back, or os it just better to do the catback?

i have always thought that just running a muffler is fine...cuz our stock piping is 2.75" and the cat back is 3" so your gaining .25" in pipe diameter which is gonna give you what maybe 1hp not really worth it if your on a budget...im just getting a magnaflow muffler with stock piping and just gonna hook up a cut out...so i get a nice tone for the street and if i want to open her up i got the cut out...both the cut out and muffler with installation will cost less then the cat back and it will sound exactly the same...just my two cents
