Silly Question Re Dipsticks 346 to 440
I just has a 440 conversion done on my 04 Z06 and the ls6 oil pan was swapped for an Ls2 pan. The 440 is ls7 based.
The dipstick that is now in the car is my original dipstick from the 346. Not sure which dipstick tube is installed.
The oil is within range on the dipstick, but when I get on the brakes hard, the oil pressure substantially decreases.
I am now using a quart over for safety until I can get this figured out.
I think this is a no-brainer, but am hoping for confirmation that the Ls2 dipstick needs to be used with the ls2 pan and ls2 dipstick tube to show a proper oil level.
Am I correct, or do I have other (more serious) problems?
Much thanks.

Thanks a million--After I posetd I just went for it an ordered the dipstick from SDPC.
FYI-The ls2 pan was used.
Not sure what pickup was used or whether the deflector was put in. Also not sure what dipstick tube was used and I do not even know if there are differences between an ls6 tube and an ls2 tube (the block is ls7, so I assume it had to be drilled out).
The builder is a well regarded builder, so I'm assuming that the correct pick-up tube was used.
I need to make some calls as the builder never returned my email outlining the issue and suggesting a couple causes, including the wrong pick-up tube.
