AI200cc H/C Track Times
Made it to Test and Tune at Gainesville Raceway in Florida last night for the first time since the heads and cam. I have to say I was really impressed with AI's work. Well the car is still basically untuned. I have a base tune from PCMforless. The datalogs show the car is running extremely rich all across the board. Anyway, the times are on heavy 17" wheels w/drag radials through a Magnaflow Catback. I am still running a stock LS1 rear w/ 3.42 gears and a stock clutch. So I couldn't launch it like I wanted. LOL. The car has a long way to go before it's finished. I have a x-pipe setup w/ bullets already I'm putting on this weekend. I feel the car has a solid 11.50-11.60 in it with a little better 60' and some track time. I need to put it on a diet for sure. 3650lb with me in it.
RT- .011
60'- 1.881
330'- 5.204
1/8 ET- 7.887
1/8 MPH- 92.77
1000'- 10.148
1/4 ET- 12.054
1/4 MPH- 118.70
I might try to make it out one last time before they shut the track down for winter and click off an 11.99 for some motivation over the winter break.

That is pretty good with how it is currently setup. The exhuast should make a good bit of difference. Gears would REALLY help out. A tire change and wheel change would also do wonders. Pick up some slicks and skinnies and drop a few tenths. That setup has a TON of potential with some small changes.

It needs a real tune REALLY bad. At idle the car sounds like it's missing on a cyl. It clears up around 2800. I have done so much troubleshooting and all I have left is the tune. I hope to see some good HP there. I'm hoping that exhuast picks me up and some draglites and slicks will also help. I pm'd a guy on here with some 3.73's just waiting on a reply. With all that I hope the car will go low 11's w/ the mph in the 120's. I wish the tracks were open all year round. Gainesville shuts down from December to the middle of Feburary.

11.40-11.50's was the goal when I got the heads done. I have a 100 shot that I'm going to spray when I get the car dyno tuned and running best. We don't have many tuners in the Jacksonville area that do the 93's. I found a website that offers the chip burner and chips. What program is recommened for the LT1's? I used datamaster for the free datalogs but, is that a good program to tune with?

I sent him some datalogs but, I haven't had a chance to pull the chip out and send it back. He told me that the RH and LH O2's were giving different readings like there was a miss. I changed out the opti and the car started running alot better. The car has poor throttle response now and is just running really rich. There is a guy here in Jax that is coming back from a tour in Iraq next month that will tune the car for free plus dyno time. I have the car sanded down for paint and I have some other stuff to work out so I am just waiting for him to get back.

I had Jim Smith make the drive from the Daytona area to Orlando to dyno/street tune my 93 chip ECU on my stock shortblock setup but that was at least a year ago and I am not sure if he still even does tuning. He had the car all day and squeezed almost 30rwhp more then my mail order tune through a loose stalled auto, and drivability was TONS better. He's been working on GM engines for longer then a lot of us have been alive, and is a friend of Ed Wrights .
With this stroker though I was going to megasquirt it but instead I'll save the cash and just get the emulator since I already have the piggyback adapter, and then I can tune it anywhere they can do LT1s. Much easier then finding a good chip tuner.
