5.3L vortec, 89 Caprice Classic, Turbo - oil feed line
Well I've started on a project. It's a 1989 Caprice Classic. I've put in a 1999 5.3 Vortec, TH400, 2500 stall, etc.... Anyways...The turbo I have is from a 2005 or so Cummins 5.9 Diesel. I have not found much info on this for use in a gas setup, but I got the turbo for next to nothing, and I was told it only had Dyno Time, came from a cummins R&D facility or somthing. The turbo looks like its never been run. ..Anyways. Thats the turbo I'm using, this is a super budge build.
What do I need to use for Oil Feed line? The turbo has M12x1.75 threads on the oil inlet, so I plan to drill/tap a M12 bolt and tap to pipe thread, use an adapter to go to flair compression fitting. I planned on using steel brake line or something similar. What size should I use, any orfice in it? I'm worried about taking too much oil form the engine. Anyone have any info on this?
Thanks
Brendan.

you can get the correct size fitting for the oil inlet to that turbo that is a 90, and goes from 12x1.75 to a -3 You will need an oil restrictor to run in line to keep the turbo from getting to much oil and smoking. Sounds like a fun build once you get it together! Good Luck
